Why is this different from speed dating?
You’ll have the chance to meet 15 people of the opposite sex in a warm and friendly environment and you can get to know them gradually throughout the evening – if there’s a frisson in the air, you can build on it! The games provide a focus and help people to be themselves, and there’s nothing more attractive than seeing someone who is relaxed and having fun. There’s no 3 minute time limit to ‘perform’ or chat someone up – as the song says “ You can’t hurry love…..”

What happens on the night?
For an intimate party atmosphere, we invite 15 women and 15 men, we’ve found 30 to be the ideal number of playmates - we don’t want you to feel you’re part of a cattle market!

What sort of games do we play?
First of all, they’re great fun! They’re mainly pen and paper games but not exclusively. We pick games that are challenging but not difficult, that use creativity and inventiveness and most importantly allow you to relax, have a laugh and bring out your playful spirit. Some will be familiar, others we invented. There’s no jumping up and down or making a fool of yourself – but plenty of opportunity to show off your winning ways.

Over the course of an evening we play 6-7  games, and for most of these you’ll be in a mixed team of 6  people, though for one or two you’ll find yourself in a couple. The teams change for each game – so if you’ve locked eyes with someone across a crowded room, sooner or later, you should find yourself sitting at a table with them!

 There’s no need to worry about having to make awkward small talk as the games give you a reason to engage with everyone in the room. For those of you with a competitive edge – there will be prizes!!

We do have short breaks throughout the evening, enough time to have a breather, get a drink from the bar, and scope out a possible soulmate.  There’s also time to mingle afterwards…

The evening functions as a social event in itself. You might meet people of both sexes who could become friends as well as potential dates or partners, and either way – we guarantee you’ll have had fun!
